It’s time, folks! Volume 2 of Stranger Things, Season 4 is hitting Netflix on July 1. Ahead of it, the streaming platform has dropped a new trailer, promising a showdown between Vecna and Eleven’s band of friends.

The trailer sees Eleven reconnecting with her group, and then venturing into the Upside Down, presumably to beat Vecna for good. Of course, we’re expecting a healthy dose of Kate Bush’s music playing in the background. Then, there is also a glimpse of Hopper finally(?) making his way to Hawkins. Let’s just say, there’s a lot to unpack.

The two-part finale is reported to have a combined runtime of nearly four hours. The eighth episode of the current season will be 1 hour 20 minutes long, while the final episode will be more than 2 hours and 20 minutes long. That’s more than most feature-length movies in the theatres right now.

The final two episodes will not see the conclusion to the Vecna saga (and inadvertently Hawkins?), but will instead, give us a hint on where Eleven’s story is headed for Season 5, the Swan Song of the show.

The series was created by Matt and Ross Duffer, known as the Duffer Brothers, featuring a stellar star cast — that we have grown to love — including Winona Ryder, Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono and Brett Gelman.

So far, many agree that the fourth season of the show finally saw a return to form. Currently, it stands at a healthy 89 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes with 153 critic reviews. Naturally, the excitement for volume 2 is palpable. Here’s what the internet has been saying about it:
