Taylor Swift bagging three VMAs for her song All Too Well was not as surprising as what followed. The singer came on stage to give an acceptance speech and sent her fans into a frenzy for a different reason altogether — her new album! It was unexpected and surprising for Swifties to hear the news, who could not help and react to it on Twitter.
“I know with every second of this moment that we wouldn’t be able to make this short film if it weren’t for you – the fan. I wouldn’t be able to re-record my albums if it wasn’t for you. You emboldened me to do that. I thought it would be a fun moment to tell you that my new album comes out Oct. 21. I will tell you more at midnight.” said Swift, and broke the internet soon after.
Swift then shared more details about the new album on social media. The singer revealed that her upcoming 10th studio album would be called Midnights. The album will comprise “stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life.” Knowing what kind of fandom Swift enjoys, it was obvious that Twitter would be trending with reactions to the announcement.
Here’s How They Reacted:
The upcoming album comes two years after she released Folklore and Evermore. Both projects were released five months apart in 2020. Folklore bagged the ‘Album of The Year’ award at the 2021 Grammy Awards.
Apart from Taylor Swift , Lil Nas X lead and Jack Harlow also bagged three awards at MTV Video Music Awards 2022. Nicki Minaj bagged an award for best hip-hop, while the Red Hot Chili Peppers took the award for best rock. Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny won the Artist of The Year’ Award.
