Bigg Boss 15 is arriving with a twist. Opting an OTT route, fans will get to see contestants survive in the BB house for six weeks on Voot prior to them coming down for the final show on television. Hosted by Karan Johar, speculations around who will be entering the Bigg Boss OTT house have been making rounds on the internet for quite some time now. Mallika Sherawat was also rumoured to be a part of the show.
Grapevine suggested that Sherawat was approached to enter the BB house as a contestant for Bigg Boss OTT. It is being reported that the makers had decided to give her some special powers as well. Sherawat was keen on entering the house but did not agree to the terms and conditions applied to her entry into the house. She hence declined the offer.
A source close to the development told SpotboyE, “Mallika was approached to participate in the show for six long weeks and was supposed to stay like a contestant but with special powers. As she will be on a secret task assigned by Bigg Boss. Though the actress was keen on doing the show she didn’t want to be a contestant on the show. And hence she turned down the offer again.”
Mallika Sherawat was earlier approached for Bigg Boss 13. The actress had then demanded a large sum of money and things did not work out between her and the team. The opportunity eventually fell into Ameesha Patel’s lap. Patel served the role of the Malkin of the house.
Karan Johar recently opened up about hosting Bigg Boss OTT and told a news portal, “My mom and I are huge Bigg Boss fans and wouldn’t miss it for a day. As a viewer, it keeps me hugely entertained with dollops of drama. For decades now, I have always enjoyed hosting shows, and now with Bigg Boss OTT… it will surely be Over the Top. It’s my mother’s dream come true.”
KJo affirmed that Bigg Boss OTT will be lot more “sensational and dramatic.” He went on te say, “I hope I can live up to the audience’s and my friends’ expectations, make Weekend Ka Vaar with the contestants an enjoyable affair in my own style and up the ante on the entertainment quotient.”
