After a mind-blowing performance in Beast, Thalapathy Vijay is returning to entertain his fans once again. The highly-anticipated film, which was in development, has had everyone waiting for it with bated breath. Vijay finally broke the suspense and revealed the title of the film.
Thalapathy 66 has been titled Varisu and the film will hit screens on Pongal 2023. The title was released just in time to celebrate the South star’s birthday. Varisu means successor or heir in Tamil. A title poster was also unveiled with this exciting announcement which has the tagline, The Boss Returns.
The team concluded shooting for a schedule in May, completing several important sequences for the film. The next schedule will start soon, too. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna in a pivotal role.
The poster obviously created a wave amongst the fans. People were excited to see Thalapathy Vijay in the new avatar. Twitter was flooded with love for the poster, with many expressing their excitement for the film. Here’s what fans had to say:
Thalapathy Vijay’s much-awaited 66th film is being co-directed by Vamshi Paidipally and Rambabu Kongarapi. The music is being composed by Thaman, with Karthik Palani and National-Award-winning editor K L Praveen, helming cinematography and editing respectively.
