The Kapil Sharma Show Is Returning After The Long Break

The Kapil Sharma Show is one of the longest-running shows. The comedy show, which often has gone off-air, is once again returning on Sony. Kapil Sharma, the showrunner, had taken a break to spend time with his wife Ginni Chatrath, their daughter Anayra and their newborn son Trishaan. The team has finally returned to shoot for new episodes.
Sharma took to Instagram to share the good news with his fans. Posting a picture featuring his team – Sudesh Leheri, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Bharti Singh and Chandan Prabhakar, the comedian confirmed the return of the show. “New beginning with all the old faces#tkss #thekapilsharmashow #blessings #gratitude #comingsoon,” Sharma captioned the post.
If rumours are to be believed, The Kapil Sharma Show will make a comeback in August on the Sony Entertainment Television channel. Co-produced by Salman Khan Television (SKTV) and Banijay Asia, the show will arrive on the same time it did before. On being questioned about the show’s return date, Kiku Sharda told the portal that it is not fixed yet. “Obviously the channel will also make an official announcement when the exact date is locked,” he added.
Meanwhile, a source told Indian Express that the team has already shot for the promo of the upcoming season at Aamby Valley. “The set is under construction and it will take some time for the series to go on floor. As of now, they have filmed the promos, which will also see the team welcome Sudesh Lehri on board. The show will mostly go on air by end of next month,” the source added.
Back in March this year, Sharma and other cast members also took auditions for new members. Sharma has then said in a statement, “I am excited and happy to welcome new talent – actors and writers on The Kapil Sharma Show. Looking forward to meeting like-minded and talented individuals who have the right passion for entertainment.”
