After years of rumour-mongering in the media and amongst the paps, Bollywood hottie Varun Dhawan finally got married to his childhood sweetheart, Natasha Dalal in Alibaug over the weekend. The wedding was attended by close friends and family, keeping in mind the COVID-19 protocols set by the government. Bollywood biggies like Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra and Shashank Khaitan were also present at the wedding.
Kareena Kapoor Khan had first referred to Dalal as Dhawan’s ‘fiancée’ on her show, What Women Want.
The actor told Kapoor Khan that he has known Dalal since they were in school and that they’ve been seeing each other for several years now. On marriage, he said: “See, marriage, coming into this time period when you have been with someone for so long… I felt like getting married after I saw my brother and my bhabhi. When I saw my niece Niara, I was like, ‘This is good.’”
While pictures of Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal from his wedding went viral on social media, Manish Malhotra has now shared a behind-the-scenes video of the actor getting fitted for his big day.
“Capturing the endearing moments while dressing up the ever-so-charming #ManishMalhotraGroom, Varun Dhawan (@varundvn) as he transforms into a debonair prince in our bespoke ivory sherwani adorned with intricate gold and silver zardosi hand-embroidery, layered with a celeste blue drape paired with custom encrusted embroidery shoes to complete the look,” Malhotra wrote in a post which he shared on Instagram.
The star designer also shared a reel of images from the wedding and captioned it: “Now that’s what I call an absolute fun wedding.”
According to media reports, Varun Dhawan has known Natasha Dalal since the sixth grade but the two began dating in their 20s.
