Who doesn’t love seeing a film with Meryl Streep in it, yes? Well, with the rumours of a third Mamma Mia! film, we might just get lucky. The producers and the cast of the film are hinting at a third installment to the musical saga.
The $400 million dollars that the 2018 film, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again grossed worldwide might have been highly encouraging to the producers. Producer Judy Craymer told The Daily Mail that there were plans of a third film before the coronavirus pandemic hit.
“I was meant to have been getting on with that, in my head, during these months. But then I got hit with COVID fog,” she said. “I think one day there will be another film, because there’s meant to be a trilogy, you see. I know Universal would like me to do it.”
