Actor Rahul Bose recently shared a video online about being charged Rs. 442.50 for a couple of bananas at JW Marriott in Chandigarh. He appears shocked and stupefied in the video which has over 6000 likes and 2200 retweets at the time of publishing this article.

Update:
Now, we hear that the Chandigarh administration has ordered a probe into the matter. Business Today reports that the Deputy Commissioner and Excise and Taxation Commissioner Mandip Singh Brar has initiated an investigation into the “illegal and exorbitant charge of GST” by JW Marriott on the two bananas.
