Remember Yakult? That probiotic drink which was endorsed by Kajol? Well, it’s suddenly started trending on Twitter, all thanks to the latest Netflix original.
In Netflix’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, America’s boyfriend Peter Kavinsky goes across to ensure that the lead character has her favourite “Korean yoghurt smoothie”. While the brand Yakult is not mentioned in the film, it was evident to most Twitter users that the drink was clearly Yakult.

According to Bloomberg, Yakult’s “mention frequency” shot up and the company’s shares “climbed about 2.6 per cent since the movie was released”. “The stock closed 1.7 per cent higher Monday, the highest since July 31,” writes Divya Balaji for the news portal.
Well, it would appear that Lara Jean and Kajol have something in common – they both swear by the probiotic drink!
