Fashion at the U.S open grand slam is synonym to all things bold and wild. After all, it carries a history of players sporting their unique styles on the court. Though the years have surely made all things brand conscious, the players still have a style persona to play with. As the matches are ongoing and the players sweat it out for their chance in the light, here are some noteworthy fashion moments that need a spot of their own. 

 

Serena Williams 

Let’s just say that Williams outfits have caused quite a stir this season, first for the catsuit and now the ballerina tutu she’s seen wearing. For the final grand slam of the year, Nike collaborated with Off-White to create a collection for the queen rightfully titled ‘Queen’. After all big girls need to a tutu on the court and twirl in it too!

Roger Federer 

 

The highest paid tennis player of 2018 has left Nike for Uniqlo in a 300$ million deal. The all red outfit on the court comes as a refreshing change. Federer spoke highly of the socks that give him the stability for his game. After all, if you look good you sure do feel good. 

Rafael Nadal 

 

The custom NikeCourt Zoom Cage Hard Court sneakers look fire on the player as he debuted it on the first game day against Arthur Ashe. Nadal sported an all Nike attire to compliment his sneakers. 

Sloane Stephens

 

Sloane Stephens brings out the neon orange NikeCourt Fall Slam dress to compliment her inspiring performance. The bright color sure is a shift from the classic whites. “It’s a contemporary play on the styles worn by athletes at Forest Hills in 1968” states Nike. 

Elina Svitolina 

 

The Ukranian tennis player was too seen in an all-white Nike attire with the Nike Court Air Zoom sneakers. One can’t really go wrong with the classic understated appeal. 

Nick Kyrgios 

 

The player was spotted in a signature Nike Men’s Fall Advantage NY Polo t-shirt that has been sported by others too. 

Venus Williams 

 

Wearing her own label EleVen, Venus Williams sure added some quirk to her attire. Here’s wishing we get to see more of this as she goes to face off her sister Serena Williams in the upcoming game. 

Gael Monfils 

 

The player scored his first win wearing head to toe Asics in ocean blue. 

Bethanie Mattek-Sands

 

From the leopard print court dress to the ruffled skirt and tank top look, the player has come a long way in her tennis court fashion choices.
