With a few unique elements added to the shoe and the recent success of Utopia, the hype for the upcoming shoe is at an all-time high
Whispers of an original Travis Scott sneaker have been circulating for some time. Said to be the next big face of Nike and the Jordan brand, Scott, aka La Flame, who’s riding high on the success of “Utopia,” has had a series of successful to moderately received showcases so far. However, the upcoming “Cut The Cheek” drop promises to turn the drama up a notch. But what do we know about them?

For starters, Nike is yet to set a release date for the sneakers, leading some to believe that the lineup may launch either later this year or during the early days of 2024. But that hasn’t stopped the musician from not-so-subtly teasing the fans, featuring them at events and photoshoots.

From what we can tell, the sneaker appears to have a low-top style, sporting a unique co-branded white strap that contrasts with its black base, along with olive reverse Swooshes on the lateral side. Take a closer look and you’ll notice some elements from the Air Jordan 5, with the shoe seeming to be accompanied by Jumpman motifs on its tongue, and thick black waxed laces sealing the deal. Finishing the design are the rubber outsoles paired with black midsoles.

As mentioned earlier, Scott hasn’t shied away from showing off his next release, teasing them at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of “The Idol” in May. Since then, more colorways of the model have been unofficially unveiled, all featuring the controversial forefoot strap and unique outsole branding.

While the wait continues, the hype seems all too justified. Ever since his collaboration with Nike, Scott has had a significant role in redesigning some of the most iconic sneakers, including the Air Force 1, the Jordan 1, the Jordan 4, the Jordan 6, and, of course, the Dunk.
