Prada has a new face for its bespoke beauty line. And, it’s none other than the feisty Emma Watson!
The Italian fashion label had recently announced its decision to rope in Watson, 32, as the face of its upcoming women’s fragrance, titled Prada Paradox.
The first reveal of a rather glamorous shot from the collaboration saw Watson flaunting her iconic 2010 pixie haircut, with bold yet tasteful makeup, aptly mirroring Prada’s unbridled aesthetic.
The announcement of the partnership was dropped on Prada Beauty’s Official Instagram handle. The statement read: “She is Prada Beauty. An artist, an activist, an actor, a woman set free in the spirit of indefinability. An embodiment of the Prada Woman, an epitome of modern femininity. Sophisticated, fiercely feminine, intensely intellectual. She’s everything and it’s the opposite. Always running towards the next version of herself.”
Apart from being the face of the campaign, the collaboration marks Watson’s directorial debut for Prada.
The Harry Potter actress shared videos on her social media handles, confirming the same. “Months later, I’m able to share the results of the faith they shared in me, with all of you. I can’t wait to share this piece of my art and hope that you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. I could never have done this without my unbelievable team of collaborators. Thank you for your time, commitment, talent, and passion. My directorial debut and Prada’s newest refillable fragrance, coming soon,” enthused the UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, who’s visibly excited about her collaboration with the luxe beauty label.
Prada Paradox marks Prada’s first major scent for women to be launched by L’Oréal, which is the brand’s fragrance and beauty licensee.
