Another music artist is getting into the fashion game and it’s none other than Frank Ocean. The rapper is launching an independent luxury brand called ‘Homer’.
The American brand’s first collection will include printed silk scarves and jewellery pieces that are handcrafted using 18-karat gold, recycled sterling silver, hand-painted enamel, and American lab-grown diamonds. The Homer products are designed in New York and handmade in Italy.
According to the brand, inspirations for the collection include “childhood obsessions” and “heritage as a fantasy.” The catalogue, which was shot by Frank Ocean and done in collaboration with Tyrone Lebon, features details product info and campaign shots of the debut line.
The Homer website has a soundtrack by Orlando rapper-producer 454, his debut mixtape 4 Real. Ocean will open a Homer jewellery store in Manhattan on August 9. The store is located at 70-74 Bowery and is by appointment only.
The prices range from $395 (Rs 29,341) for the aforementioned ring in silver and peak at $1,898,000 (Rs 1,40,986,192) for an 18K white gold necklace with lab-grown diamonds.
