January 1, 2019, was 48 hours ago and we hope you’re at least pretending to follow through on your New Year resolutions. While some aspire to read more and travel more, almost everyone aspires to “get fitter”. Well, here’s how you can maintain your fitness resolutions this year.
Know that what the mind can believe, your body can achieve
The strongest part of your body is your mind – train it and discipline it as much as you do the rest of your body. It’s a great servant but also a terrible master. Hence, make the right choice.
Diet is VERY important
Do. Not. Starve. That is only going to be an obstacle and can result in myriad issues. Everybody knows that abs are made in the kitchen and that carbs after 7 pm is an absolute no-no.
Set realistic goals
It’s important to be ambitious and believe in yourself but it’s crucial that you set realistic goals. Start small and take baby steps – this will help you ‘smash’ your goals throughout the year and push you to work harder.
It’s all about discipline
Rome wasn’t built in a day. Get that printed on a T-shirt and engraved in your mind.
Rest
Listen to your body and trust the process. Pushing it to breaking limit will only impede your growth.
