The Six Kings Slam Tennis Tournament, their flagship offering featuring six of the most popular names in tennis over the course of three days, is in full swing, in Riyadh.

They get an opportunity to watch the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner locking horns against each other. There are no dead rubbers. Every match produces an exciting display of skill and tenacity as players fight for a staggering prize fund.

Who All Are Competing In Six Kings Slam? 

 

The exhibition event features the who's who of the tennis world, from the veterans like Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal to the rising stars like Carlos Alcaraz. The biggest attraction of the tournament is the prospect of seeing Nadal in action. The Spaniard had recently announced his retirement, which obviously builds an air of excitement around his appearance among fans. Enjoy it while it lasts! Nadal faced off his compatriot Alcaraz on day two of the event, losing in straight sets.

Daniil Medvedv and Holger Rune completes the line-up. Rune is the only participant without any grand slams to his name, but since the event organiser reserves the right to select the players, don't expect any semblance of objectivity. You can make a case for players like Alexander Zverev who would have brought more firepower to the tournament. But Rune has been the most-improved player in the circuit and has beaten everyone in this list except Nadal. Perhaps it's not as bad a choice as it looked. 

 

What's the format of Six King Slams Tennis Tournament? 

 

Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic received byes, and they will directly compete in the semi-finals. The other four members will fight it out among themselves, in knock-out matches, to book their places for the semifinal. On 16th October, Jannik Sinner defeated Daniil Medvedev rather easily to book up a semi-final date with Djokovic. Sinner continued his fine form, and toppled Djokovic in the semis. Alcaraz, meanwhile, thumped Holger Rune and Rafael Nadal to set up a final clash with his arch-rival Sinner.

What To Expect On Final Day Of Six Kings Slam Tennis Tournament? 

 

Since the ATP doesn't allow players to compete for three days in a row, there's a rest day allotted for the players. On 18th October, no matches will take place. On 19th October, the final day of the event, Alcaraz will take on Sinner for the championship title, while Djokovic and Nadal will square off in what would be the last episode of their storied rivalry that lasted for close to two decades.

What Is The Prize Money? 

 

The winner will take home $6 million, which is more than double what a player gets for winning any of the grand slams. Moreover, every player is assured of receiving $1.5 million just for participation.
