Just when you thought you had reached the end of Mumbai’s gastronomic experiences, House of Nomad offers itself up as a home for the most incredible cocktails, tapas and wines, inspired and brought together from across regions of the world.
Set inside the Taj Land’s End Hotel in Bandra, Mumbai, House of Nomad is a quirky yet upscale gastro-bar that has both the vintage charm of a classic Taj property as well as the concept of bringing together new and different global elements, right from the décor to the menus. With high chair furnishings and a brightly-lit ambience, it’s truly synonymous with having the best of both worlds. The bohemian elegance of the interiors will strike a chord with guests from any city in the world.

The piece-de-resistance is the beautiful island bar, right in the centre. Behind the spacious and well-lit bar, you’ll find awardwinning mixologist Andrew Pearson getting creative with the cocktails. Pearson recommends drinks such as Bollywood Hopeful, Handsome Stranger and The Final Say, all of which he says will make you crave seconds and, who knows, maybe even a third round. Wine lovers have to only look up and pick their favourite bottle from the ceiling wine wall, stocked with selected wines from around the globe.
The food menu has been curated by celebrated chef Anirudhya Roy, so you know it’s going to be top class. Dive straight into dishes such as marinated olives, burrata croutons, hand carved ham from Parma, buttermilk chicken and Sriracha chilli sandwich, truffle arugula and shaved parmesan flatbread and more. As for the ambience, expect everything from progressive to house music, giving you something to groove to on any given evening at the bar. It’s only appropriate to celebrate this new gastro-bar with a couple of mysterious strangers.
