Woah, this brings back a whole lot of memories. In what can only be called a #WayBackWednesday kind of day, media reports suggest that Ishq Vishk is getting a sequel. The 2003 film marked Shahid Kapoor’s entry into Bollywood and was a huge commercial hit.
“Yes, we are making a sequel to Ishq Vishk. The story is in the scripting stage and could be about a teenage romance. Hopefully, in the next two-three months, we will lock the script and start looking for the director and cast,” producer Ramesh Taurani told the Mumbai Mirror.
The Ken Ghosh directed movie was about how Rajiv, played by Shahid Kapoor, wants to become the most popular kid in college and his on-again-and-off-again relationship with Payal, played by Amrita Rao. It was also remade into an Indonesian film called Cinta Gak Kemana. The music for the film was composed by Anu Malik and the song Aisa Kyoon Hota Hai became a roaring hit that year.
Currently, Shahid Kapoor is working on Kabir Singh which is a remake of the Telugu film, Arjun Reddy. In this, he’ll star opposite Kiara Advani and the film is set to hit screens on the 21st of June this year.
