There are some reel pairings that take your breath away, take Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol for one. They’ve been our Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet for as long as anyone can remember. Then there was Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha and of course while their films didn’t do that well, how can one forget the crackling tension between Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan?

One such pairing was the Katrina Kaif-Akshay Kumar one. The two of them shared such amazing chemistry that all the films they starred in became superhits. However, the duo stopped collaborating together many years ago – but that is apparently set to change.

High off the success of Kesari, Kumar is now set to star in Rohit Shetty’s cop drama Sooryavanshi and according to a report in Filmfare, the actor is keen on roping in Katrina Kaif as the female lead. In January this year, Shetty had denied casting the actress as the female lead but the report states that Kumar is adamant on having Kaif opposite him in the film.

Is this another blockbuster in the making?
