We finally have a peek at the third instalment of the Annabelle storyline and this time, all hell breaks loose.
The trailer was released by Warner Bros. last night and it starts off with a familiar room in Ed and Lorrain (played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) Warrens’ house, where the duo store all their eery haunted and cursed belongings, including the infamous Annabelle doll. We then see a curious visitor, intrigued by the room, going in and exploring and touching every cursed artefact inside. Clearly, that isn’t something you should do. This gives the evil spirits the opportunity to be evil. They lock the door and trap her in a room full of evil spirits and demons. Not the best way to spend a Sunday evening. We then see her being confronted by a scary looking man who looks like he hasn’t taken a shower or brushed his teeth in 352 days.
Her interaction clearly opened a portal for Annabelle and all the other evil spirits to harm Ed, Lorrain and their daughter.
We weren’t kidding when we said she’s going to sleep with you. Well, sort of. In the last scene of the trailer, we see Annabelle hiding under the covers of Warren’s daughter and out of nowhere, you see an evil spirit jump out from the cover.
The movie is directed by Gary Dauberman, who will be making his directorial debut with Annabelle Comes Home. Dauberman’s horror filmography includes Annabelle, Annabelle: Creation, IT and The Nun, where he served as a screenwriter. The film is produced by Aquaman producer, Peter Safran and The Conjuring universe mastermind James Wan, who’s known to be a horror movie veteran.
Annabelle Comes Home is set to release on June 28.
