Aparshakti Khurana On Music Never Being His Plan B
Aparshakti Khurana: ‘Music Will Never Be My Plan B, It Completes Me’

The Khurana brothers are a league apart, and they never cease to impress…

Artiste-siblings Ayushmann and Aparshakti Khurana share a common love for music, and that’s no secret. Given their innate ability to conjure up soulful tracks, it comes as no surprise to find them topping the charts as some of the most popular musicians of our times. And, the year-end spells great news for Aparshakti fans, as he has launched a new title, Neendraan Ni Aandiyaan, and is all pumped up to see how it gets received among the audiences.

Excited by how things have panned out, Aparshakti recently stated, “This was the first time that I shot a song outside the country. I was there for just 36 hours but it was worth it. I shot the song with Nikita Dutta and who is a hands-on artist to work with. Right from her dancing skills to acting, everything was on point.”

Much like a lot of singers in the country, Khurana is also self-taught and hasn’t had a guru mentoring him along the way. “I have been occupied with so many things that I haven’t been able to take out time to go to classes. But that is on my list as it will better my craft. But having said that I cannot push aside the fact that music runs in my family. Be it my father or brother they sing really well. In fact, in childhood, we used to have a jamming session with my grandmother who used to sing really well. She was a big fan of Raj Kapoor and Dilip Kapoor and used to even mimic them,” he reminisces.

Many people turned to a plan B in their careers when the pandemic hit. When prodded about whether music is a backup plan for him, Khurana answers, “The pandemic was an extremely difficult time for all. But for me, music is not a plan B, because everything I do is my plan to work in the industry. Music has been really close to my heart since the beginning and I feel that it completes me as an artist.”

More than a year ago, he also became a father to a baby girl, named Arzoie. The doting couple often shares glimpses of their little bundle of joy to their followers on social media. Turns out, Arzoie has already developed a liking for her papa’s music!, “There is a Ukulele I have which she is really fond of. I have nylon strings on the instrument so that she doesn’t hurt herself when she is trying to strum it. But, the funniest part is that her favorite instrument’s size is bigger than her to handle by herself,” signs off the 35-year-old.
