Konidela Siva Sankara Vara Prasad, better known as Chiranjeevi, made his film debut with Pranam Khareedu in 1978. He landed the role after he graduated from Madras Film Institute and made his public debut in the Andhra Pradesh Republic Day Parade Ballet in 1976. The actor then gained prominence with roles in films like I Love You and Idi Katha Kaadu. Chiranjeevi redefined regional cinema and raised the bar for others.
