After wrapping up Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, Ayushmann Khurrana swiftly moved on to the next project. The actor recently commenced the shooting of Junglee Pictures’ Doctor G. A few weeks into the shoot, the makers of the film have unveiled Khurrana’s first look.
Dressed wearing a doctor’s coat and round glasses, the actor looks quite different in his first look from the film. Khurrana will be essaying the character of Dr. Uday Gupta in the film. Sharing his excitement about the same, he shares, “The subject of Doctor G is very close to me. Considering the lockdown restrictions, we all have been waiting to start shooting the film and we are glad that the day has finally arrived. It’s an honour to portray a doctor on screen for the first time.”
“I’m truly excited to start shooting the film, also because it’s going to allow me to relive my memories of being a student and living the hostel life. I’m looking forward to collaborating with my director Anubhuti,” added the actor. The film also stars Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah in key roles.
Doctor G will mark the third collaboration between Ayushmann Khurrana and Junglee Pictures. The production company has earlier backed his films including Bareilly Ki Barfi and Badhaai Ho. The film will also mark Khurrana’s first collaboration with Singh. Directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, this film is a campus comedy drama. The film is written by Sumit Saxena, Vishal Wagh, and Saurabh.
Apart from this, Ayushmann Khurrana has teamed up with his Article 15 director, Anubhav Sinha, once again for Anek. The film will be a political drama and the actor will play a character called Joshua. It is being said that Anek will be Sinha’s most expensive film to date. The makers of the movie have also planned an extensive shoot schedule in the North East.
