Love it or hate it, Capitalism is here to stay. A prime example of this is the “money don’t jiggle jiggle” song featuring British journalist Louis Theroux which went viral on TikTok and is now being made into a whole music video featuring Jason Derulo!
Teaming up with Amelia Dimoldenberg, the host of Chicken Shop Date, and electronic duo Duke & Jones, who remixed the rap, Theroux has now dropped the first music video of his career. And it’s surprisingly not bad. But don’t just take our word for it, have a look for yourself.
Fans have been surprisingly on-board with the idea of making the TikTok edit into a full music video, with one of them commenting, “This is incredible! Louis Theroux is the GOAT!!” while another said, “You know, when I first watched that episode of Weird Weekend’s back when I was a teenager, this is EXACTLY what I imagined happening over two decades later.”
Some weren’t impressed though, with one user saying “Wow… I can’t believe this, Jason Derulo is really the king of surfing on the trends waves.”
The song first went viral when Theroux appeared on Chicken Shop Date and was asked if he had ever rapped before. To which, Theroux replied: “I have rapped in a program I did, a Weird Weekends episode about rap’ before spitting the notorious bars.”
As far as where the lyrics stem from, Theroux revealed in Weird Weekends that he thought of them in the shower, saying “you don’t have quarters and dimes and nickels, you have dollars, hundreds and whatever you have. And whatever you have, it folds.”
And the rest they say is history.
