The film is a sequel to the 2019 thriller ‘Knives Out’
Who doesn’t enjoy a mystery-solving movie? Well, turns out, that it only keeps getting better in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. Not only will the film feature Daniel Craig as the lead star, but the new teaser ensures that you’d be sitting on the edge of your seat throughout the film. The audience got a fresh look at the whodunit story and had their minds blown!
The film features Craig as Benoit Blanc, who will be traveling to Greece to investigate a mysterious death. A tech billionaire Miles Bron invites his friends to a private island where one of them winds up dead. Craig vows to find the murderer and until then, everyone is a suspect.
The film boasts of an ensemble cast including Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Leslie Odom Jr., Kathryn Hahn, Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, and Ethan Hawke. We see glimpses of them in the teaser, adding more mystery to the story.
Fans were quick to react to the teaser on Twitter. Many were especially excited to see Hahn in her element in the film. Craig keeps his mystery man image intact in this film and people are all in for it. Cline and Hudson also shared their excitement having spotted them in the teaser. Many fans even cooked up theories about the film’s plot from the teaser alone.
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is the sequel to 2019’s Knives Out. Helming it once again will be Rian Johnson, who described the casting of the team as, “throwing a dinner party.” He earlier said, “You try and invite people that you like. But the reality is you never know. At the end of the day, just try to get the best actors in each part, the actors that are most right for each part. So, you also just throw the dice and hold your breath. Luckily, we got a great group that meshed.”
Glass Onion will premiere in select theatres globally. The date for its theatrical release is yet to be announced. The film will arrive on Netflix on December 23. Before this, the movie will have its global premiere on September 10 at the Toronto International Film Festival.
