One of Kanye West’s most awaited album Jesus is King will be released on Friday, 25 October. The album has faced numerous delays in the past few months. It was expected to release on 27 October, the same day West previewed it in Detroit during his first Jesus is King: A Kanye West Experience. But it was then pushed to 29 October, which never arrived.
West took to Twitter and posted a picture of blue vinyl to announce the release date.
Along with the new album, West would be releasing the film of the same name which was made to accompany the project. The film would center around the performance from West’s gospel ensemble which he had taken over the country as a part of his Sunday Service Concert Series. Jesus is King the film is set to feature 13 songs that are arranged by West in the gospel tradition along with new music from his forthcoming album ‘Jesus Is King’, as reported by nme.com. The British fashion photographer, Nick Knight is named as the director of the film.
According to nme.com, the film will be screened in IMAX theaters only for one week from 25 October.

West also shared some behind the scenes footage of the film. The behind-the-scenes video sees West behind the camera in the film and it comes with Bible verses. The Sunday Service concert film was filmed in the summer of 2019 at Roden Crater in Painted Desert, Arizona.
