Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan announced in August that the couple is expecting a second child. Kapoor announced the news on her social media platform and has been updating her fans about it almost every week.
According to a report by Filmfare, the actress has been finishing up her work commitments and also taking out time for her friends and family before the arrival of the second baby. The Good Newwz actor has been busy setting up the baby’s room. Another media report states that Kapoor is expected to have the baby next week and is looking to have some time to herself before she welcomes the newborn, as reported by Bollywood Life.
Before going on her maternity break, the actress wrapped up all her work commitments this week, which included a photo shoot and a project for Dharma 2.0. The actress was last seen in the 2019 comedy-drama film, Good Newwz where she starred opposite Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh.
Earlier speaking to Bombay Times, as she shot for new episodes of her chat show, What Women Want, Kapoor shared her thoughts on pregnancy. She said: “No, there has never been any plan that I have to do this or that. It’s just that I have never been that kind of a person who would sit at home and say, ‘Now I want to put my feet up’. I am doing what I want to do. Working — whether it’s during my pregnancy or post-delivery — has been a point to just say that when has anyone ever said that pregnant women can’t work? In fact, the more active you are, the healthier the baby is and the happier the mother is. After delivery, too, once you feel fit enough, one should do what they feel like doing, and try to balance it out between giving time to the child as well as your work and yourself. I have always been very proud of being a working mother.”
