Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the biggest names in the industry. Her discipline and dedication towards her work inspire so many people, and many younger stars look at her as an idol. Even during her second pregnancy, the actress was busy working on something or the other, and was already listening to script to bounce to the shooting after delivering her second child. The actress was offered the lead role in a film titled Sita, and Bebo reportedly increased her acting fee for the same.

Reports in Bollywood Hungama suggest that the actress demanded Rs 12 crores for her role in the film. Kapoor Khan was asked to sign Alaukik Desai’s magnum opus a few months ago, and she demanded the hiked fee for the same. A source close to the development revealed, “Kareena who usually asks for INR 6-8 crores for films has quoted a sum of INR 12 crores which have put the producers in a tizzy. In fact, right now, they are reconsidering their decision and in talks to take the film to a younger actress instead. But Kareena still remains the first choice.”

“Kareena will shoot for Veere Di Wedding 2 and Hansal Mehta’s film first because they are smaller films that will be completed in one month’s time each. Sita will need at least 8-10 months of prep, shoot and production. So she will be completely consumed by one film at that point but Bebo also realizes that this will be her biggest magnum opus till date, as it’s a retelling of Ramayana from Sita’s point of view”, the source further added.

Earlier, during one of the episodes of What Women Want, Kareena Kapoor Khan had actor Anil Kapoor and director Anurag Kashyap as her guests. The actress discussed the wage gap between male and female actors in the industry. “You (Kareena) took a lot of money from me,” Anil Kapoor said immediately but Kapoor Khan laughed it off.

“Yaar, yeh toh hero se zyada paise maang rahi hai.’ Maine bola, ‘De do (‘She is demanding more money than the hero.’ I said, ‘Give it to her),” Kapoor said about Khan’s pay during Veere Di Wedding. “They all called me up also, I said, ‘Done.’ They were calling me when the negotiations were on. I said, ‘Bebo jo maangegi, de do (Give Kareena what she wants),” he added.
