When you think of the words ‘Bad Actor’, probably the first name that comes to your mind is Tusshar Kapoor. After all, when it comes to being bad, the man is extremely versatile. He can’t do action, he can’t do romance, he can’t do villainous roles nor can he do comedy well. Despite that, Tusshar Kapoor has delivered more hits than you think he has. Agreed that most of these movies don’t star him as the lead, but still.
So for those of you curious to know, here’s the list of his hit movies.
His debut film was a hit, despite some horrible songs by Anu Malik.
Amitabh Bachchan takes most of the credit for this one succeeding. He brings his ‘angry young man’ game back, and delivers a hard hitting performance.
A solo hit, Gayab was a bad film but probably the audiences liked it because of the strange concept. Also, Tusshar Kapoor was not terrible as a nice boy who suddenly gets this superpower of invisibility.
Another horrible film starring two horrible actors, Kya Kool Hai Hum was a big success. Isha Koppikar’s character of a police inspector was called Urmila Martodkar, so you know this film is very risky to watch.
Tusshar didn’t have any dialogues in this one, and even though his goofy antics were a huge success, we’d rather jump in a well than watch them on a big screen.
Vivek Oberoi stole the show in this movie, and Tusshar was probably the weak link in this fabulous gangster flick.
According to Wikipedia, this movie achieved cult status. Yes, we are as confused as you are.
Again, Tusshar did the same thing again and again and again. And it worked. There are times when we lose our faith in Indian audiences.
Need we say more?
Vidya Balan was the star of the show, and Tusshar only had to play a small role. He didn’t do too well, and his costumes in this film are the stuff nightmares are made of.
This film entered theatres and went without us even noticing, but well, while researching for this article, I found that it was a hit.
Tusshar’s latest film Golmaal Again is already a hit. Alas!
