Katrina Kaif, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Ishaan Khattar starrer Phone Bhoot has stirred up major intrigue among fans. The trailer was released today, and needless to say, it has garnered interesting reactions. A little birdie tells us that a launch event for the movie took place in Mumbai, where industry insiders were in attendance, prior to the trailer release.
All set to get released on November 4, 2022, Phone Bhoot has been directed by Gurmeet Singh. Written by Jasvinder Bath and Ravi Shankaran, Kaif plays the role of a ghost in the film while Chaturvedi and Khattar are ghostbusters. She goes to them and proposes them a business idea. The rest as they say, is a comedy of errors!
The movie also stars Jackie Shroff, who plays an antagonist in the film. He tries everything in his power to sabotage their efforts. It also has references from Chaturvedi’s Gully Boy and Hrithik Roshan’s Koi Mil Gayaa.
Farhan Akhtar, the movie’s producer, at the launch event said, “Katrina was after me to play a ghost. She wanted to play a ghost. Even we were confused about how someone beautiful like Katrina can play a ghost.”
On the other hand, Kaif said that she doesn’t consume any horror content. If ever she comes across a ghost then her soul will leave her body. She further revealed that she’d love to haunt Priyanka Chopra though, to get deeper insights into how she manages work and life!
Adding to how her husband Vicky Kaushal reacted to this she said, “Vicky absolutely loved the trailer. He had such a good reaction, and it gave us so much confidence. He feels that there are so many fun elements in it and people would love it. That’s our hope too”
Chaturvedi, who rose to fame after doing Gully Boy, looked dapper at the event. He further quipped how he should perhaps retire as he has worked with the biggest actresses in the country, namely Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, and now Kaif. He will be next seen in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan with Ananya Panday and Adarsh Gourav.
