Nicki Minaj recently posted a picture while teasing fans with her new album. She ditched her usual Balenciagas this week and chose to model a pair of hot pink Crocs in the picture that she posted on May 10. The post went viral in no time, reportedly resulting in Crocs’ website getting crashed.

The rap star posted on Instagram after a long break. She had last shared a picture on social media in January. She captioned her picture as “Friday,” teasing an upcoming project that will release on Friday. For the picture, Minaj posed in nothing but a pair of well-placed pink heart pillow. She styled her hair in a high pony and added Chanel-inspired Jibbitz charms in the background. The highlight, however, became the pink Crocs clogs.
The photo received 4.7 million Instagram likes, and apparently crashed the brand’s site. Fans tweeted saying that they were facing temporary problems on the website when buying the electric pink Crocs. Some also stated that there is a reduced availability for some pink colourways as well.
Interestingly, Google search terms such as “Chanel Croc Charms” and “Nicki Crocs” were also trending. The U.K.-based retailer, The Sole Supplier, reported that the search for pink crocs grew by over 4,900% within the past 24 hours.
Apart from this, it was earlier reported that Cardi B and Nicki Minaj are putting their differences aside and collaborating on a new track titled Lavish. The collaboration was however never confirmed, but Cardi B took to Twitter to give a hint about the upcoming song. Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have been dominating the rap scene for a long time. Both of them have been continuously been pitted against one another and compared, which resulted in a beef in 2018 during Fashion Week.
