Just like any other star kid, it was natural for everyone to expect R Madhavan’s son, Vedaant Madhavan, to also to choose a career in films. However, the young kid has changed and is making his name in the sports field. He recently won the gold and silver in swimming at the Danish Open 2022 in Copenhagen. The talented Jr. Madhavan has now opened up about how he wanted to create his own identity.
R Madhavan’s son talked to DD India and talked about not wanting to live under his father’s shadow. He said, “I wanted to make name for myself. I didn’t want to be just R Madhavan son.”
He went on to talk about the sacrifices that his parents made for him. “They are always looking after me. Both put so much effort. One of the main sacrifices my parents made was to shift to Dubai,” he added.
Madhavan, who is super proud of his son’s achievement, shared a clip of Vedaant receiving the gold medal recently. He captioned the video as, ““GOLD.” With all your blessings and God’s greatest the winning streak continues. Today it’s a GOLD in 800m for Vedaant Madhavan.“ Thanking Vedaant’s coach Pradeep Kumar, the swimming federation of India, and the entire team behind his son’s success, Madhavan wrote that he is “overwhelmed and humbled.”
Earlier, he has also opened up about his son not taking up acting. “He’s been winning swimming championships all across the world and making us very proud,” he had said.
