Double roles in a film are as Bollywood as item numbers – remember Sita Aur Gita and Judwaa? Now, Filmfare reports that besides acting opposite Alia Bhatt in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, he’s all set to star in Karan Malhotra’s Shamshera alongside Vaani Kapoor.&nbsp;According to the entertainment portal, Kapoor will be playing a double role in the film and is shooting for both the roles simultaneously.“The film revolves around a dacoit tribe that is fighting for its rights and independence from the British Raj. Apart from playing the protagonist, Ranbir might also be seen as the central character’s father. He has been shooting for both the roles simultaneously. This is the first time in his 12-year-long career so far that Ranbir will play a double role,” a source told a daily.

In this dacoit drama, Sanjay Dutt will play the antagonist. “Shamshera is a ferocious and fearless character in the film. Therefore his nemesis, the villain had to be even more fierce and monumental in every aspect. Who better than Sanjay sir to give us that impact on screen?” Karan Malhotra had earlier said in a statement.&nbsp;The film is set to hit theatres in 2020.
