Seth Rogen and wife Lauren Miller, who have been married for 10 years now, have no plans to have a baby. Rogen opened up about his plans to become a father, and said that he and Miller are happy being just the two of them.
Seth Rogen appeared on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, and talked about his future plans of expanding his family. “I wouldn’t be able to do all this work that I like. I don’t know anyone who gets as much happiness out of their kids as we get out of our non-kids. We’re fucking psyched all the time. We’re lying in bed Saturday morning, smoking weed, watching movies naked. If we had kids, we could not be doing this. We have too much fun,” added Rogen.
He went on to talk about how Miller is much more against the idea of having kids than he is. He revealed to Stern, “She doesn’t want kids. She wants kids less than I do.” He added that he would want to continue working and focusing on his career, and with a little one around, both Seth Rogen and wife Lauren Miller, would not be able to do that.
Back in 2019, Rogen’s parents had also opened up the couple not having kids. Rogen’s mother, Sandy Rogen had said, “Well, they have a dog. We have grandchildren from our daughter, Danya Rogen, so we’re OK.” Mark Rogen, father of Seth Rogen, had quipped, “We try not to pressure them. We think they’ll make the right decisions for themselves.”
Interestingly, Seth had previously spoken to Dax Shepard and told him about how he is somewhat open to the idea of starting a family someday. “It’s an active conversation. It’s something we talk about. I honestly think I would be good at it. I have much stupider friends who are good parents. We’ve gone from people who just haven’t had kids to people who don’t have kids. It honestly makes it more fun in some ways because it’s like, ‘Man, no one we know is doing this s–t. We can just do whatever we want.’”
