The Fame Game also stars Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Suhasini Muley, Lakshvir
Saran, Muskkaan Jaferi, and Rajshri Deshpande.
The Fame Game starring Madhuri Dixit came out on Netflix on February 25. The show introduces Dixit as superstar Anamika Anand, who eventually goes missing under baffling circumstances. Her disappearance triggers an investigation, which leads to the unravelling of some dark secrets of her family and her personal life. The show also stars Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Suhasini Muley, Lakshvir Saran, Muskkaan Jaferi, and Rajshri Deshpande.
While the trailer made a loud noise, the show did not get a similar reaction from fans. Many did laud Dixit for her performance in the series and especially for her song, “Dupatta Mera,” but the show failed to make an impact. Many fans felt that the execution was quite poor. Some went on to correlate the story to Sridevi’s life, while others could not stop talking about the sets and the production value of the show.
Here’s What Twitter Has To Say About The Fame Game:
During the virtual trailer launch of the show, Dixit said, “I loved the script, loved her journey. It is about fame, what follies and complications can happen when there is fame in your life. It is a story about this woman whose life is seemingly perfect, till she disappeared one day and everyone wonders what happened to her, where she is?
Then, the ‘Where is she?’ changes to ‘Who is she?’ Do people know who she is? Does she know herself? Because they all have seen her on the screen, larger than life, (leading a) perfect life with a husband (and) kids. She is perfectly placed in her profession. So what happened to her? I thought it was intriguing. That really fascinated me.”
