The Fame Game, backed by Karan Johar, will mark Madhuri Dixit’s OTT debut.
Madhuri Dixit has ruled the silver screen for several years, and now the ‘Dhak Dhak’ girl is all set to make her OTT debut. Teaming up with Karan Johar, the actress will be seen on Netflix’s The Fame Game. The show, which will premiere on February 25th, has been in talks for quite some time. The makers have finally unveiled the trailer of the drama series.
Initially titled Finding Anamika, the show introduces Dixit as superstar Anamika Anand. She eventually goes missing. Her disappearance initiates an investigation, which leads to the unravelling of the dark secrets of her family and her personal life. The show also stars Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Suhasini Muley, Lakshvir Saran, Muskkaan Jaferi, and Rajshri Deshpande.
Directed by Bejoy Nambiar and Karishma Kohli, the story of The Fame Game looks gripping. Besides the plot, the Internet is going gaga over how amazing the actress looks. People are excited to see her opposite Kapoor and Kaul and to know what actually happened with Anamika Anand.
During the virtual trailer launch of the Netflix show, Dixit said, “I loved the script, loved her journey. It is about fame, what follies and complications can happen when there is fame in your life. It is a story about this woman whose life is seemingly perfect, till she disappeared one day and everyone wonders what happened to her, where she is?
Then, the ‘Where is she?’ changes to ‘Who is she?’ Do people know who she is? Does she know herself? Because they all have seen her on the screen, larger than life, (leading a) perfect life with a husband (and) kids. She is perfectly placed in her profession. So what happened to her? I thought it was intriguing. That really fascinated me.”
