Some of Hollywood’s biggest names are starring in a new, quarantine-fueled, charmingly hilarious version of the beloved 1987 film, The Princess Bride.
Helmed by Juno director, Jason Reitman, the remake was shot completely at home with whatever materials the actors had at their disposal. Starting today, Quibi will begin releasing chapters of the fan-made film every day for two weeks.
Who’s starring in it? Oh, none other than Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, Common and Tiffany Haddish, Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka and Chris Pine and Annabelle Wallis, as well as Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Garner, Elijah Wood, Jon Hamm, Beanie Feldstein, Lucas Hedges, Jenna Ortega, Jack Black, David Oyelowo, Keegan-Michael Key, Patton Oswalt, Josh Gad, Andy Serkis, Diego Luna, Taika Waititi and Zazie Beetz.
The remake has also enabled Quibi to make a $1 million donation to the chef José Andrés’ charity World Central Kitchen which provides meals to those acutely affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
