The series will be directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and hit Disney+ Hotstar on February 4th
Pratik Gandhi is back on the small screen, and this time around he’ll star opposite Richa Chadha, in a Tigmanshu Dhulia directed whodunit. Called ‘The Great Indian Murder,’ the series is based on Vikas Swarup’s bestselling novel Six Suspects. His second after Slumdog Millionaire.
The duo will play the role of police officers investigating the high-profile murder of Vicky Rai, a character Swarup loosely based on Manu Sharma, the murderer of Jessica Lal. The series will hit the streaming platform on February 4 and will be produced by Ajay Devgn and Priti Vinay Sinha.
Other notable star cast includes Ashutosh Rana, Shashank Arora, Raghubir Yadav, Paoli Dam, Jatin Goswami, and more.
The official synopsis of the show read, “Vicky Rai is the cunning 32-year-old owner of the Rai Group of Industries and son of the Home Minister of Chhattisgarh, Jagannath Rai. Vicky gets murdered in cold blood at a party thrown by him to celebrate his acquittal in a rape and murder case of two shelter home girls. Six suspects surrounding his murder come under the radar of the case’s investigating officers DCP Sudha Bhardwaj and Suraj Yadav of Central Bureau of Investigation.”
