Twitter Reacts To Sydney Sweeny’s Comments About Her Salary
Twitter Is Not Happy With Sydney Sweeney Complaining About Her Income

Sweeney has appeared in many popular projects like Euphoria, White Lotus, The Handmaid’s Tale and more

Celebrities are just like us, aren’t they? To drive this point home, Euphoria actor Sydney Sweeney recently spilt the beans on her paycheck. The 24-year-old who has starred in the Handmaid’s Tale, White Lotus and a couple of other projects made the revelation that she doesn’t get paid as much as people think.

While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Sweeney said, “If I wanted to take a six-month break, I don’t have the income to cover that. I don’t have someone supporting me, I don’t have anyone I can turn to, to pay my bills or call for help. They don’t pay actors like they used to, and with streamers, you no longer get residuals.”

The Emmy-nominated actor further added, “The established stars still get paid, but I have to give 5 per cent to my lawyer, 10 per cent to my agents, 3 per cent or something like that to my business manager. I have to pay my publicist every month, and that’s more than my mortgage.”

Sweeney reportedly earned around $350,000 from the second season of Euphoria, averaging a paycheck of around $27,000 per episode. While that may not sound much, coupled with other projects, the 24-year-old is said to have a net worth of around $4 million.

Clearly, Sweeney’s statements haven’t sat well with the internet, which reacted the way you’d expect it to react. Here are some of the best reactions we found.
