Rohit Shetty has his cop universe with Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, and Akshay Kumar and now Yash Raj Films (YRF) is all set to create a ‘spy universe’ with superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Hrithik Roshan.

According to media reports on the YRF spy universe, Salman Khan is set to make a cameo in Pathan and Shah Rukh Khan will have a cameo in Tiger 3. SRK and Salman Khan will reportedly join Hrithik Roshan in War 2.

As far as cinematic universes in Bollywood go, it began with Rohit Shetty and Singham in 2011. Singham Returns in 2014 focused on Bajirao Singham, an honest DCP who beats the shit out of the thugs and goons.

Then, there was Simmba in 2018 which focused on Sangram “Simmba” Bhalerao who was the polar opposite of Bajirao Singham and was a corrupt officer who uses his power and position to benefit himself. Things change around at the end of the movie, however.

Then, Shetty added another franchise to his Police Cinematic Universe with Sooryavanshi which stars Akshay Kumar as Veer Sooryavanshi, another DCP but who is based in Mumbai.

It will be interesting to see what YRF has in mind for their spy universe. If these media reports are to be believed, the collaborations are going to be super interesting.
