2017 wasn’t a great year for Bollywood, and an even worse year for Bollywood music. Every second film would have some song that has been remixed, and we were extremely sick and tired of this lack of originality from our composers. In a few cases (for example Judwaa 2), these remixes were well done and integral to the movie experience, but otherwise it was usually unnecessary.
But those were not the only bad numbers that we had to endure. Be warned, these songs may have hazardous effects on your health and your irritability levels.
Humma Humma
It wasn’t a bad remix of a very peppy 90s classic, but the rap in between by Badshah was plain painful.
Aa Gaya Hero
Usually, we would ignore such a film, but it had Govinda trying to make a comeback with a song that was as bad as bread covered with moss because it was left to rot long after its expiry date.
Main Tera Boyfriend
Sushant Singh Rajput, even 15 year olds will cringe to this song. Horrible is an understatement.
Radio
It’s hard to find something worse than the movie Tubelight, but this song fits the bill and makes it to our hall of shame.
Aazadiyan
Anu Malik gave the music for this film, and it was so melodramatic (in a poor way). This song, supposed to bring a tear to the eye, makes you laugh at its inane nature and also pisses you off for making a mockery of a sensitive subject like partition.
Hum Nahi Sudhrenge
Golmaal Again might have raked in big money at the box office, but we don’t understand how a group of people could agree to spend so much money on shooting such bile.
Hopefully, in 2018, we’ll have much better music.
