The 27th edition of the CEAT Cricket Rating (CCR) awards in Mumbai was a star-studded affair, graced by the biggest luminaries of cricket from India and across the world. Rohit Sharma, the former Indian captain who led the Indian team to the Champions Trophy title, was the star of the event. His efforts were recognised with a special memento.
Brian Lara, the legendary West Indies batter, and BS Chandrasekhar, the Indian leg-spinner, were honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award. “To be presented with this accolade at such a celebrated forum is special indeed. It feels wonderful to know that my journey in cricket continues to be remembered and cherished in this way. It serves as a reflection of the countless hours of preparation and the collective spirit that drives every performance. My gratitude goes to CEAT for recognising those efforts," said Lara.
England's Harry Brook, one of the most prolific young run-scorers, was adjudged as the Men's Test Batter of the Year, while Sri Lanka's spin wizard Prabath Jayasuriya won the Test Bowler of the Year.
