India and New Zealand are set to face off in the Champions Trophy final at Dubai International Stadium, with India riding a wave of dominant performances throughout the tournament. New Zealand's only loss in the campaign came against India during the group stage. This marks the third time the two teams will meet in an International Cricket Council (ICC) final. In their first encounter at the Champions Trophy 2000, Stephen Fleming's New Zealand side triumphed over India. The Black Caps also emerged victorious in their second ICC final clash, defeating India in the inaugural World Test Championship final. 

This will be the third consecutive Champions Trophy final for the Indian team, having won the tournament in 2013, and lost in 2017 against their arch-rivals, Pakistan. Days before the commencement of the tournament, the ICC announced the total prize pool of $6.9 million (₹60.06 crore approx), which is a massive 53% rise from the 2017 edition. All eight teams participating in this event are assured of getting a fixed sum of $125,000 (₹1.08 crore). While this might not be massive figures for nations India and England, it is still a crucial cash injection for cricketing boards that are struggling to stay afloat, like the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). 

Additionally, for every win in the group stage, teams got a prize money of $34,000 (₹29 lakh approx). Since India have won all three matches in the group stage, they have accumulated $102000 (₹88 lakhs approx) so far.

The winners of the Champions Trophy 2025 will be walking away with a prize money of a whopping $2.24 million (₹19.5 crore), and the runners-up will get $1.12 million (₹9.74 crore).
