Sanju Samson, captain of Rajasthan Royals, was slapped with a hefty ₹24 lakh fine for maintaining a slow over-rate during a match against Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025. As the team leader, Samson was held accountable for the side's failure to complete their overs within the stipulated time, a recurring issue in T20 cricket. 

 

Glenn Maxwell 

Penalty: 25% of the Match Fee 

Reason: Violating IPL Code of Conduct vs CSK

Glenn Maxwell, the explosive Punjab Kings all-rounder, faced a fine of 25% of his match fee for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during a clash against Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2025. Royal Challengers Bangalore's skipper Rajat Patidar was fined ₹12 lakh for maintaining a slow over-rate during a match against Mumbai Indians.
