Three years ago Samsung took over an abandoned British era Opera House on Bengaluru’s Brigade Road, restored and re-opened it in 2018 as Samsung Opera House, the company’s largest experience store in the world, spread over a sprawling 33,000 sq. ft. of space. Yesterday, the store provided a magnificent setting for the India presentation of Samsung’s most ambitious launch in recent times, the Galaxy Note 10 and the Note 10+.
The Galaxy Note series pioneered the big screen smartphone when it first debuted in 2011, which over the years have gone on to become an industry standard. The new Notes take forward this tradition. Note 10 is the smaller of the two with a 6.3-inch screen, so most Note die-hards will probably gravitate towards the Note 10+, that we have put under the spotlight in the video below. It doesn’t feel too unwieldy despite the large screen with a gorgeous Dynamic Amoled display that packs almost 500 pixels per inch.
Note devices have always packed a formidable hardware spec sheet, and the Note 10+ is no exception. It is powered by an Exynos 9825 processor with a formidable 12GB of RAM. The S-Pen which has always been a key differentiator for the Note comes in this version with a whole bag of new tricks. It is one more reason why the Note 10+ is probably the Android device to beat this year.
