She urged the people of Delhi to “please, please go eat at Baba ka Dhaba in Malviya Nagar”.

In the video shot by blogger Gaurav Vasan, 80-year-old Kanta Prasad shared that he and his wife Badami Devi usually started cooking at 6.30 am and were ready with the day’s meal by 9.30 am. Dal, curry, parathas and rice were kept in large dishes and are priced around ₹ 30-50 a plate.

Once the story went viral, constant stream of customers could be seen at the tiny joint. The hashtag #BabaKaDhaba went viral on Twitter and later to other social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. Many celebrities and corporations came to help the elderly couple. Later, it was confirmed by Zomato that Baba Ka Dhaba has been listed on the food-delivery platform to help the couple.
