Reports had surfaced about Netflix casting Chris Hemsworth in their new drama, Dhaka. Deadline.com had reported that the film will be directed by Sam Hargrave, and it will be shot across India and Thailand.

The film was kept under the radar for quite some time and very little information was released or even known about the film. But according to Miss Malini, Randeep Hooda and Manoj Bajpayee will also star in the film alongside Chris, portraying crucial roles.

The basic storyline is that Chris is an emotionally vulnerable character, and is hired to rescue a kidnapped boy. And that was all that was ever revealed. But Miss Malini’s source revealed more information on the roles the actors will be playing. “While Chris is hired to rescue the kidnapped boy, Manoj Bajpayee will be essaying the role of the boy’s father who is an Indian don. Randeep, on the other hand, will be seen playing the role of Manoj’s right hand, Saju who contacts Chris for the mission,” said their source.

They spilled more information regarding the shooting schedule and locations. The source said, “A part of the film will be shot in Ahmedabad over a schedule of 15 days and the shooting for the same begins in the first week of November. Post which the unit will continue their shooting in Mumbai and later fly to Thailand. Chris will begin his Indian schedule next month.”

Joe Russo, of the Russo Brothers, has written the script. Sam Hargrave worked with Joe on Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, as the stunt coordinator, and this will mark Sam’s directorial debut.

From whatever information that has been revealed about Dhaka, the film seems to be a well-cast film with a strong story-line. We cannot wait to see Chris, Manoj and Randeep on the screen together and hope that the combination of Joe Russo’s script and Sam Hargrave’s direction gives us an equally big hit like The Avengers.
