In a new interview, Elon Musk’s 76-year-old father Errol Musk has confirmed that he fathered a second child with his stepdaughter Jana Bezuidhout, who is 41 years his junior.
The ‘bombshell’ interview in The Sun revealed that Bezuidenhout and Errol had a daughter in 2019. Musk senior and his stepdaughter previously had a child named Elliot Rush, who is now 5 years old. Bezuidenhout’s mother, Heide, and Errol were married for 18 years and share two children. Bezuidenhout was 4 years old when Errol became her stepfather.
Errol and Maye Musk – Elon’s mother – were married from 1970 to 1979, and shared two other children, Kimbal and Tosca Musk.
Errol Musk told The Sun the child “wasn’t planned,” adding that he and Bezuidenhout lived together for roughly 18 months after the birth of their first child. They no longer live together but “have a lot of affection for each other,” he said. According to Errol, his daughters were ‘shocked’ by his relationship with Bezuidenhout. “To them it was their sister,” he told The Sun. “They still feel a bit creepy about it, because she’s their sister. Their half-sister.”

Elon himself went ‘berserk’ when the news of Errol’s first child Bezuidenhout made headlines – he has been estranged from his father for several years, and has publicly described the man as a ‘terrible human being’ in a 2017 Rolling Stone interview. Apart from the rather taboo nature of his relationship with Bezuidhout, Errol also has drawn headlines for shady business practices, and the ‘self-defense’ killing of three people.
Despite their differences, the father-son pair share the concept of having secret kids and a very pro-life stance, echoed in Errol’s quotes. “The only thing we are on Earth for is to reproduce,” he said. “If I could have another child I would. I can’t see any reason not to.” Insider reported earlier this month that Elon Musk quietly had twins in November with one of his top Neuralink executives, Shivon Zilis.
That means he has nine known children, against his father’s seven. “Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis. A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilisation faces by far,” tweeted Elon earlier this July, as legal troubles surrounding his Twitter takeover brewed.
