“Power shifted across the globe this year as women cracked new ceilings and tumbled from positions of power.”

So begins the Forbes piece on the most powerful women in the world in 2018. The list pays homage to the toughest and smartest women leaders in the world like German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Managing Director at the IMF, Christine Lagarde . . . and our very own Priyanka Chopra.

This year, four Indian women made it to the Forbes list : Roshni Nadar Malhotra (at number 51) who is the CEO of HCL Technologies, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw (60) who is the Founder and Chair of Biocon Ltd., Shobhana Bhartia (88) who is the Chairperson and Managing Director of HT Media and global icon PC (94).

The piece calls Chopra “arguably the most successful Bollywood actor to cross over to Hollywood” and also speaks about her role as the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and as a tech investor with Bumble.
