Ivanka Trump Rooting For Indra Nooyi To Become World Bank’s President?
On Monday, the White House officials announced that President Donald Trump’s eldest daughter and senior adviser, Ivanka Trump will play a key role in choosing the next president for the World Bank.
The current president, Jim Yong Kim recently announced that he would be stepping down from his role in February. Earlier, there were speculations about Ivanka Trump being a contender. Although, the rumours have been put to rest.
The former PepsiCo Inc Chief, 63-year-old Indra Nooyi has made it in the initial list for potential candidates for the role of World Bank president.
As per Business Today, Ivanka has recommended Indra Nooyi’s name for this position. Previously, in an Instagram post, Ivanka has referred to Nooyi as “mentor + inspiration.”
Although, Nooyi has been vocal about her disapproval for Donald Trump, and it might potentially ruin her chances.
