102-Year-Old Man Kaur Wins Gold Medal At World Masters Athletics Championships

Kaur was participating in the race for the age group of 100-104 and clocked a commendable 3 minutes and 14.65 seconds

Proving the age-old adage that just because there is snow on the roof doesn’t mean there isn’t a fire in the fireplace, India’s 102-year-old female athlete, Man Kaur recently won a gold medal in a 200m race. Kaur was competing at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Malaga, Spain.

 

Timesnownews reports that Kaur was participating in the race for the age group of 100-104 and clocked a commendable 3 minutes and 14.65 seconds.

In an interview with History Tv 18, Kaur revealed that she took up athletics at the age of 93. “When she ran for the first time, she completed a 100 metres track in one minute and on second,” her son revealed during the interview.

In 2016, at the American Masters Games held in Vancouver, Kaur had become the world’s fastest centenarian, reports the news website. The World Masters Athletics Championships is often referred to as the senior Olympics.
